Your Story, Edited with Pride

Book editing and formatting for LGBTQ+ indie authors.

I help you strengthen your prose, catch errors, and prepare your book for readers—with clear feedback and respect for your voice.

How It Works

  1. Tell me about your book and your goals. Share the genre, word count, kind of help you need, and ideal timeline.
  2. Get a tailored recommendation. I’ll review your project details and send a quote with the scope, rate, and proposed schedule.
  3. Work together with clarity. Once we agree on the plan, I’ll edit or format your manuscript and return it with thoughtful, actionable notes.

Availability: I take on a limited number of projects at a time. Ask about current openings; we’ll confirm a start date and schedule with your quote.

About Me

I’m Rowan Kelty, the editor behind Pride Quill Publishing. I’m queer and nonbinary, and I care about helping LGBTQ+ writers tell stories in their own voices. I especially enjoy science fiction, fantasy, and books that make room for perspectives readers don’t always get to see.

My hands-on experience includes developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, and formatting for my husband Daniel Kelty’s memoir, When the Bed Bugs Bite. That project involved working closely with an author from manuscript revisions through preparation for publication.

I bring a careful eye, thoughtful questions, and a collaborative approach to each project. My goal is to help you understand your options and strengthen your writing while keeping the decisions about your story in your hands.
